Exam and ID form photo and signature sizes
Indian exam and ID forms each set their own photo and signature size, and few agree. Here are all 14 uploads from 6 forms (SSC, NEET, UPSC, IBPS, PAN and the driving licence), each with its pixel size and KB range from the form's own notice, and a tool on each form's page.
What does each form ask you to upload?
Every file each form asks for, grouped by form. Filter by a form's name, such as NEET or PAN, or by a size.

Can one photo work for two forms?
Only where two forms ask for the same pixel size and their KB ranges overlap. These are the pairs where that holds, with the range a single file must land in:

Every other pair differs in pixel size, so a file made for one is the wrong shape or size for the other. Make each on its own page.
Which minimums are hard to reach?
A KB minimum on a small box asks a lot of each pixel. The table divides each minimum by the box's pixels, most demanding first.
On our signature measurements, a clean scan at full quality came to about 0.4 to 0.5 bytes a pixel. A minimum above that is out of reach for a clean scan at that box.

Common questions
What is the photo size for online forms?
There is no single size. The photos here run from 200 x 230 pixels for IBPS to 420 x 525 for the driving licence, with limits from 10 to 200 KB. Use the tool on your form's own page.
Can I use my passport photo for an exam form?
Only after resizing it. A passport print is usually 35 x 45 mm, but each form wants its own pixel size and KB range, and the file must land inside both.
Why does the form reject my signature for being too small?
Because it is under the form's KB minimum. A signature is mostly white paper, which compresses to very little. See the minimums table above for the forms where this bites.
